Julie Johnson, Co-Founder, Product Owner

As co-founder and learning experience designer at Integrate Trauma Informed Network, I am dedicated to improving lives through community-driven skill and development growth. From Kansas City, MO, and armed with a background in Photography and Art History, alongside master's degrees in Special Education and Instructional Systems Design, my journey as a sexual assault survivor propelled me into becoming an RYT E-200/500, trained by leading experts and focusing on trauma-informed yoga. Additionally, I am also a vetted member of The Breathe Network, a directory of trauma-informed healing arts professionals that serves sexual assault survivors.

My recent work involves co-writing and facilitating the Integrate Trauma Informed Leadership course “Driving Social Impact: A Human-Centered Approach to Communication and Decision-Making and building out Integrate’s Trauma Informed Leadership training and development programming.

Since 2015, I've led Integrate's mission to provide trauma healing resources and interdisciplinary communication training for human care providers and small business owners.

Being a sexual trauma survivor myself, I understand the struggles that survivors face in finding healing and support. That's why in 2015, I launched a trauma-informed yoga and adaptive yoga program for children in Ferguson, Missouri. The children had identifiable disabilities and PTSD, and we offered weekly after-school groups to support them and their families.

Since 2019, I have been providing trauma-informed yoga classes and Reiki sessions to survivors at Joy of Yoga St. Louis (www.joyofyoga.com) It has been an honor to hold space for these brave individuals and provide a compassionate environment where they can begin to heal.

Through these experiences as a trauma survivor and a trauma-informed leadership trainer,  I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of human-centered communication and decision making in promoting healing and building authentic relationships.
